1893 - 1908 H.H. Sri Paduka Ratu Anak Agung Gusti Gedé Jelantik

Regent and Stedehouder of Karangasem, youngest son of I Gusti Anglurah Made Oka Karangasem, Deputy Ratu Agung of Selaparang - see Indonesia-Lombok, educ. Privately. Appointed as Regent of Karangasem by the Dutch colonial authorities, 1890. Ruled as an official of the government of the Netherlands East Indies 1890-1896. Granted the personal title of Raja in 1893 when Karangasem was re-established as a separate principality. Appointed as Stedehouder of Karangasem, 10th June 1896. Abdicated in favour of his adopted son and nephew, Anak Agung Bagus Jelantik, 28th December 1908. Retired on a government pension. Rcvd: the Great Gold Star for Loyalty and Merit. He d.s.p. Unm. 1916 (succ. by his adopted son).

1908 - 1950 H.H. Sri Paduka Ratu Anak Agung Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem,

Raja of the State of Karangasem. b. 1887, as I Gusti Gedé Bagus Jelantik, third son of I Gusti Gedé Putu, Regent of Karangasem 1849-1890, by his seventh wife, Gusti Istri Oka, of Puri Kaler Kauh - see Indonesia-Lombok, educ. privately. Adopted by his uncle and designated as his Heir Apparent, 1906. Installed as Regent of Karangasem on the death of his uncle and adopted father, with the reign name of Anak Agung Bagus Jelantik I, 28th December 1908. Raised to the status of a self-ruler, 30th June 1938 and took the oath of office at the Besakih Temple, 29th July 1938. Assumed the reign name of Anak Agung Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. Abdicated in favour of his son 1950. Landscape architect and designer of water gardens. Rcvd: Officer of the Order of Orange- Nassau, Great Gold Star for Loyalty and Merit, Nishan-i-Iftihkar 3rd class of Tunis, Officer of the Order of the Black Star of Benin of France, and Member 5th class of the Order of the White Elephant of Siam (1926).

(seventh) Mekelé Selaga (d. in childbirth, 21st July 1919), a lady of the sudra caste. m. (eighth) Mbok Uma, a lady of high caste from Lombok. m. (ninth) at Karangasem, 1922, Jero Wanasari, sister of Uma. m. (tenth) Jero Gunaksa [Mé Gunakse]. He d. 7th November 1966, having had issue, twelve sons and thirteen daughters:

Hollands Inlandsse Sch., Denpasar, the Meer Uitgebreid Lager Onderwijs, Malang, AMS, Yogyakarta, Amsterdam Univ. (MD) and Sch. of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London. Adopted son of Mekelé Trena. MO at Namla, 1948, at Sumbawa 1949, and at Bolaang Mongondow 1949-1954, Regency DMO North Bali 1954-1956, Chief Medical Officer of Bali 1957-1962, Dean of Medicine Udayana Univ. 1962-1969, Maleriaologist, UNO 1969-1979, retd. 1979, lecturer in public health at Udayana Univ. 1979, Maj. TNI April 1951. Author of "The Birthmark. Memoirs of a Balinese Prince" (1997). m. at Amsterdam, 31st May 1946, Astri Henriette (d. 1997), daughter of Piet Zwart, by his first wife.     • Anak Agung Ayu Madelief Hobohm-Djelantik. b. at Kotamobagu, Bolaang Mongondow, 1952. m. 14th December 1977, Sarwar Salmi Hobohm. She has issue, one son and one daughter:

Anak Agung Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem, Raja of Karangasem, by his wife, Mekelé Trena, educ. Hollands Inlandse Sch., Denpasar, the Meer Uitgebreid Lager Onderwijs, Malang and the University of Batavia. Succeeded on the abdication of his father, 1950. Installed with the reign name of Anak Agung Ngurah Ketut Karangasem. Served as Bupati of Karangasem. m. (first) 1922, Anak Agung Ayu Karang (b. 1911), daughter of Anak Agung Gedé Putu, of Puri Gedé, by his wife Jero Tusan. He d. at Puri Krang Asem, 1991, having had issue:
